Christian Lougheed
January 6, 2006-August 18, 2013

Christian Lougheed passed away suddenly on August 18, 2013 in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of seven years old.
Christian Kyle William Lougheed was born on January 6, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. He was a beautiful blue-eyed baby boy weighing 6 lbs even, born to parents Carol and Kyle Lougheed.
The beginning of his life started in Hinton, AB, then they moved to Blackfalds where he started school and was about to go into Grade 2. He was a super happy outgoing child, and made friends very easily. Christian struggled with asthma his whole life but still wanted to get out there and participate.  He loved to play outside at the park with friends, but if they weren’t available, then on his own in the dirt piles with his trucks.  As well, he loved to ride his bike, racing up and down the road, wearing out the tires and the bike by the end of the season. For organized activities Christian played hockey, and had received his first belt in karate.  He loved to spend time with his brothers and sister and on papa and grandma’s farm, out near Rocky.  A quiet evening, sitting and watching a movie, curled up with a bowl of popcorn completed a busy day.
He is survived by his parents Kyle and Carol Lougheed; brothers Johnny and Micheal; sister Mackenzie; maternal grandmother Pamela Ferguson; aunt Candace; paternal grandparents Mel and Judy Lougheed; great-grandmothers Irene Salmon and Mary Lougheed; great-grandfather Lorry Belabanski; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandfather Johnny Malcolm and step-grandfather Bruce Ferguson.
A funeral service for Christian was held at the Chapel of the Rocky Funeral Home, Rocky Mountain House on Saturday, August 24, 2013, with interment in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made in Christian’s name to the Asthma Society or the Alberta Lung Association.
